Event Details
Many major players in the French Impressionist movement loved the season of winter. They enjoyed the challenge of capturing the season's distinctive light, air and, of course, snow. They also enjoyed depicting winter activities. Art historian Jeff Mishur discusses some of his favorite winter scenes by artists such as Monet, Sisley, and Pissarro.
