Winnetka Library Space & Safety Enhancements

Youth Department Closed Until June 20:
The Youth Services Department will be temporarily closed while we replace the flooring and relocate the service desk.
A temporary play area with limited toys and books will be available in the Lloyd Room. For full library services—including events, a larger play area, and full collection access—we encourage you to visit our Northfield location.

Freedom of Information Act Guide

The Library District's Freedom of Information Act Guide is posted at both locations and is available in the administration office at the Winnetka Library.  An electronic version of the guide is available for download here.

The Director, Information Technology Manager, and HR & Business Manager are the designated Freedom of Information Act Officers. The Officers may be reached 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday at the Winnetka Library. To contact the FOIA Officers by phone, please call 847-446-7220. Please note: information requests must be in writing; phone requests will not be honored.

All Freedom of Information Act requests must be received in writing either in letter format or by email. They should be addressed to:

All requestors must provide their full name, address, telephone number, and a complete description of the records or information that they want. The library will respond to personal requests within 5 business days after receipt of the request and to commercial requests within 21 days after receipt of the request.
 

Fees for Copies:

The first 50 pages of black and white, letter or legal sized paper are free. After the first 50 pages, the library will charge $.10 per page.

The library will charge $1.00 per page for all color copies.
The library will charge the actual cost of reproduction for all electronic copies (disks, tapes, etc.).
