Often referred to as "the Hollywood royalty", movie stars have always stood at the center of the American film industry, yet their power in the entertainment business is very different these days from what it was during the studio era.  Film professor Zbigniew Banas will explore the evolution of the position occupied by top actors in Hollywood, as illustrated by the careers of some of the most notable stars of yesteryear and today.
