The Youth Services Department will be temporarily closed while we replace the flooring and relocate the service desk.
A temporary play area with limited toys and books will be available in the Lloyd Room. For full library services—including events, a larger play area, and full collection access—we encourage you to visit our Northfield location.

Illinois Libraries Present an evening with Jason Reynolds, #1 New York Times bestselling author and former National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Reynolds, a Newbery Honor and NAACP Image Award recipient, is known for Stamped, the Track series, All American Boys, and Long Way Down. His documentary “Dear, Dreamer” and podcast My Mother Made Me explore his shared history with his mother, Isabell.

This event is made possible by Illinois Libraries Present (ILP), a statewide collaboration among public libraries offering premier events. ILP is funded in part by a grant awarded by the Illinois State Library, a department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
