Youth Department Closed Until June 20:
The Youth Services Department will be temporarily closed while we replace the flooring and relocate the service desk.
A temporary play area with limited toys and books will be available in the Lloyd Room. For full library services—including events, a larger play area, and full collection access—we encourage you to visit our Northfield location.

Greg Borzo will share stories of Chicago’s unique history – from the stockyards and railroads to department stores and skyscrapers. Hear about fascinating nooks and crannies, like a missile site converted to a bird sanctuary and a public library located in an abandoned water tank.
